They're similar, but they work a little differently.
Wishlist
See something you love? Save it for later.
Wishlists are great for keeping track of favorites, making Christmas lists, or simply remembering that toy they haven't stopped talking about.
Gift Registry
Have a birthday or special occasion coming up?
Create a Gift Registry, add the toys you'd love to receive, and share the list with family and friends so they can shop right from it.
Wishlist = save your favorites.
Gift Registry = make a list for others to shop.
How to Create a Gift Registry
It's easy!
1. Sign in
Sign in to your Gingerbread House Toys account.
2. Head to Wishlists
Choose Wishlists from the menu at the top of our website.
3. Add a new list
Select Add a new list and choose Gift registry.
4. Tell us about your event
Give your registry a name and add your event information.
Try something easy for family and friends to recognize, like:
Lucy's 6th Birthday
5. Start adding toys!
Now comes the fun part.
Shop our website as usual. When you find something you want, open the product and select Add to Registry.
Done!
More Than One Child? No Problem.
You can create multiple Wishlists and Gift Registries from the same account.
So your lists might look like:
Lucy's Birthday
Henry's Birthday
Lucy's Christmas List
Henry's Christmas List
Just choose Add a new list whenever you need another one.
Share It With the Grandparents
Once you've added some favorites, open your Gift Registry and look for the sharing icons.
The easiest way to share is to select the link icon, copy your registry link, and send it in a text.
Send it to Grandma. Grandpa. Aunts. Uncles. Birthday party guests. Whoever needs a little help finding the perfect gift.
They'll be able to open your registry and shop the toys you've picked.
Shopping a Registry?
Someone sent you a Gingerbread House Toys Gift Registry? You're in the right place.
Open the link they sent you to see the toys on their list.
You can shop online or come see us in the store.
Shopping in person?
Bring the registry up on your phone and show it to us. We'll help you find what's on the list.
Forgot the link? Ask us for help. If you know the person's name, registry name, or account information, we may be able to help you find the right registry.
What Happens After a Gift Is Purchased?
When a gift is purchased online and the order is paid, the registry updates the item to show that it has been Purchased.
That way, the next person shopping the registry can see what's already been taken care of.
Pretty handy.
A Few Questions We Get
Can I have more than one registry?
Yep! Make as many separate lists as you need. It's especially helpful if you have more than one child.
How do I add a toy?
Find the toy on our website and select Add to Registry on the product page.
If you have more than one registry, choose the one you want to add it to.
What about a regular Wishlist?
Use the heart icon to save a toy to your Wishlist.
Can I send my registry in a text?
Yes! Open your registry, select the link icon, copy your unique link, and paste it into a text.
Easy.
Can Grandma shop the registry in the store?
Absolutely.
Have her bring the registry up on her phone when she comes in. We'll help her find what's on the list.
What if Grandma doesn't have the link?
Have her ask us. If she knows the registry name or who created it, we can try to help her locate it.
Can I change my list?
Yes. You can add, remove, and manage the items on your own Wishlists and Gift Registries.
Can someone at Gingerbread House Toys add a toy to my registry for me?
We can't make changes to your registry from our side, but we're happy to show you how. Once you know where to click, it's quick!
Can I share a regular Wishlist?
You can!
But if you're making a list specifically for a birthday or another occasion where people will be buying gifts, we'd recommend creating a Gift Registry.
